Doing this is very simple. The challenge is will you be disciplined enough to go through it until you get the result you want?

And then, I’ll also like to stress that there’s no one size fit all way to do this. If you find along the way that you’re seeing unusual patterns, then adjust to it.

Don’t restrict yourself to three rules. The only two rules you should follow and never drop are discipline and continuous learning.

Look out for a need

Look around you now, what need can you see? Or what are people complaining about?

They can be complaining about it on Facebook or WhatsApp group or in your neighborhood.

Anywhere.

Just make sure you are attentive enough to look, see and take note of it.

Then think about the solution to that problem.

Find it. And market it to them.

For example:

Your colleagues in the office are complaining about how the delivery company they use is frustrating their orders

Or they are not satisfied with the special kind of meal they are being served.

You can decide to collaborate with the restaurant where you eat to bring food to your office via a delivery service at a price that you’ll get profit from it as well.

Or it can be helping them get a specific kind of official white shirt because they don’t like the ones being sold around.

The ideas are numerous.

Look out for what you have

Sometimes, if not most times, we underestimate what we have.

If you can write, why not start a blog and monetize it?

If you can talk, why not start a podcast and monetize it?

If you love videos, YouTube channels, and monetize them?

Then if you’re into graphics, photography… and other useful skills, why not offer them to those who need them?

In this process, first, you need to know what you have as a gift or talent, or experience.

When you do that, your next step is to discover the need that skill or talent or gift or experience can fill.

For example, if I can design, then I can help business owners advertise their products.

If I can take good shots, I can decide to attend certain kinds of events as a photographer.

So once you discover the need that it can solve, look for those who need it. When you see them, offer it to them.

This is why you must be visible online… you can easily make good money.

If you’re starting, you can decide to serve a few people without charging them. Then, as you gain more experience, you can begin to charge.

Look out for a people

It can be your region. It can be your colleagues. It can be your siblings… your church members… people in the same NGOs as you… simple mums… single dads…

The list is endless.

Then outline the problems you notice they have.

Write out as much as possible. When you’re done, you can then choose the one you’re more fit to solve.

Then, go ahead and solve it.

With these three processes, you’ll always discover that making money is all about selling the solutions to people’s problems to them at a profit.
